Meet David 👋🏻

Probably one of the nicest and most genuine guys you could meet 💯

He’s a business owner, a father to a young baby and also a grandfather too 🤯

Before SPPT, David had sporadically floated in and out of gyms, was overweight and desperately needed some direction and accountability.

Fast forward 3 years and at 49 years old David is the fittest he has been in his life, he has energy for his busy work and home life and has made some fantastic friends along the way.

An absolutely superb example of a business owner/ busy parent who has found something that works around their hectic schedule and gets results 📈

Amazing commitment and hard work David ⭐️

If you want to get better at golf you don’t need to practice with a heavier club ⛳️

If you are getting ready for a volleyball match you don’t need to start lunging on a BOSU ball to mimick the sand 🏐

If you want to be a boxer then we wouldn’t encourage you to start punching the air with dumbbells 🥊

In fact regardless of what sport you are trying to become better at the key areas of any sound fitness programme remain the same:

Mobility 🧘
Stability 🪵
Strength 🏋️‍♀️
Cardiovascular fitness 🚴‍♀️

The ratio of time and depth dedicated to each one of the above will be different due to the specifically imposed demands of your sport.

But don’t get blindsided into doing obscure exercises that you saw on Instagram that kind of look like they make sense…

Stick to the basics and progressively overload through each training cycle 📈

Leave the circus performance acts to the clowns 🎪 🤡

We feel really strongly about this… And we are

And we are very aware that small group PT can be seen to some as a “one size fits all, blanket, generalised approach” 🙈

But NOT here 🙅🏻‍♂️

We proudly showcase that we have a centralised programme, meaning that we have a blueprint for the day, the week and the cycle (12 weeks).

And we need this framework to ensure that there is consistency and progression built into the programme and that it meets the needs of the majority within our 300 strong community.

But remember, what’s written on the big screen programme card isn’t always what happens 🙂‍↔️

And that’s because we know that our members have various injuries, restrictions, preferences and goals and we need to understand this and get the balance right.

We don’t lie and tell you that your programme is fully bespoke (pssst it doesn’t need to be 🤫)

But you can trust that after 14 years in the game we have a good idea of what a structured programme for everyday people wanting to move better, become fitter and get stronger than ever should look like 💯
